The National Center for Animal and Plant Health (CENSA) and the Latin American Phytopathological Association (ALF) are pleased to invite you to participate in the3rd International Seminar on Animal and Plant Health (SISA 2019) and the 20th Congress of the Latin American Phytopathological Association, to be held in Varadero, Cuba, May 6-10, 2019, with the major theme “The Agricultural Sciences for One Health”.
This third edition will be specially dedicated to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of CENSA´s foundation.
Within the frame of the Event, researchers, professors, specialists, students, decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and producers from different sectors and countries will debate the strategies and results of the intersect-oral and multidisciplinary collaboration work in confronting those problems that affect health of plants, animals, people, and the ecosystem from the communities to scales of greater intervention.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
In order for your summary to be quickly accepted and processed, we would appreciate your attention to the following instructions:
The abstracts will consist of a maximum of 300 words (including title), typed at a single space, in Times New Roman font, size 10, in Microsoft Word or another compatible with it. Everything justified. Title of the paper: in bold capitals, in Spanish or English, as appropriate (its translation in parenthesis,
standard letter, case sensitive. Provide the full names of the authors and their email addresses. If two surnames, merge them with a hyphen. Underline the name of the author who will attend the Event.
The Abstract must be informative, containing: Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusions. No subtitles (eg. INTRODUCTION, etc.), or References.
Each poster display will be 120 cm tall x 90 cm wide mounted vertically. All abstracts must be sent to the Organizing Committee through the web site www.sanidadagropecuaria.com or to the email email@example.com, before February 15, 2019. They will be evaluated by a Scientific Committee of experts for final approval.
The languages for presenting papers will be Spanish and English. Simultaneous language interpretation will be available in the plenary sessions.

The Hotel Meliá Marina Varadero is the ideal place for business trips at the spa in Varadero. The hotel offers its guests an overall conference area of 1,310 m2 and 760 m2 of meeting space, equipped with the technical resources required and suitable for staging any kind of event, conventions, conferences, seminars, gala dinners and receptions. US citizens are not allowed to register at the Hotel Melia Marina Varadero, the official venue of the 3rd International Seminar on Animal and Plant Health SISA2019 and the 20th Congress of the Latin American Phytopathological Association, to be held in Varadero, Cuba, May 6-10, 2019. Since this hotel is part of the a restricted list by OFAC; the official SISA2019 | Congress Committee has chosen to replace the hotel for all the US citizens.
The HOTEL MELIA VARADERO, will host the accommodation for all US citizens for the same price and with complimentary daily transfer from one hotel to the other. The transfer distance is a short 10 minute drive.
SISA2019 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
CUBA´S CUSTOMS RULES
In order to enter into and departure from Cuba, an individual will be needed a six-month validity Passport, tourist card or visa and a round-trip ticket. Upon arriving in Cuba, José Martí´s airport immigration officials will request passport, round-trip ticket and tourist card or visa.
TOURIST CARD OR VISA
It is mandatory to hold a tourist card or visa to enter into Cuba. Upon buying your round-trip ticket, you must request the travel agency or the Cuban diplomatic representation based in your country the tourist card or visa in order to enter into Cuba. Visa for Cuba is valid for 30 days. Whether your stay in the Caribbean Island exceeded the respective 30 days, you should renew your tourist card or visa. This legal procedure must be carried out at the available immigration offices of Cuban provinces´ capitals and must meet the following: a prior CUC tax payment in stamps which are available to buy at Metropolitan Bank branches.
The Cuban government demands a Medical Travel Insurance covered by Medical Expenditures and valid for the whole stay period. All those paeople who are interested in travelling to Cuba are obliged to provide a Medical Insurance covering all medical expenditures in case of either a disease or accident.
The Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC) is the official circulating currency in Cuba. It can be obtained upon arriving the country, at the airport, hotels, Banks and currency exchange offices (Cadecas). The exchangeable international currencies are: Euro, US and Canadian dollar, Sterling Pound, Swiss Francs, Mexican Pesos and Japanese Yen, in accordance with the current exchange rate.
You can also use credit cards as VISA, MASTERCARD and CABAL, as long as they are not drawn from a U.S. bank.
Cuba is a very safe nation.
Cuba has a moderate sub-tropical weather. Havana and the western provinces have a chillier and nicer weather than in the Eastern region.
It is advisable to wear cotton-made clothes.
The electric current generally works to 110 V/60 Hz.
