PEDAGOGIA 2019   SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

PEDAGOGIA 2019  |  in its fifteenth edition under the slogan: “For the unity of educators “aims to socialize scientific results and good practices of the work of thousands of education professionals that respond to the pressing problems of Education mainly in Latin America and the Caribbean. For this, the scientific program is organized so as to allow professional exchange, with a high scientific level, after joining forces, experiences and willingness to make every day in our nations a quality education for all, inclusive, relevant develops and equitable.

The scientific program of Pedagogy Congress 2019 is structured in various activities, aimed at satisfying interests and expectations of the delegates, referring to the content of the General Thematic convened.

The central activities of the scientific program will address current issues and will be taught by prestigious national and international specialists to propitiate an open exchange of experiences about the solutions given to educational problems faced today , and share results of recent research and examine forms of regional cooperation; which leads to find the roots of an indigenous pedagogy, summarizing the best of Latin American and universal educational thought and serve as a source of inspiration of scientists and educators knowledge, to the challenges of education for the sustainable development.

The various issues arising from the themes defined for the Congress will be addressed in Symposium and Forums, as well as in courses that will be developed by high professional teachers and researchers.

The fundamental forms for organizing symposiums and forums are Discussion Session and Poster Presentation, also we have organized Conferences, roundtables, panels, colloquia and other forms that encourage scientific debate from the main scientific results or theoretical budgets from the works presented.

Debate Sessions, especially, are designed to allow participation of all authors of selected works, according to the scientific program, through the performance of different roles in the discussion of the topics. This organizational form is different from the presentation of the papers; it is characterized by brief presentation of the main results of the investigation, using or not technology aids. They are conducted by experienced specialists on the subject, who will use 10 minutes of introduction to propose debate content. Only in the event that a particular subject requires, the Scientific Committee will decide the oral presentation of papers with duration of up to 7 minutes for each speaker, with a final space for the debate.

As part of the structure and operation and functioning of each symposium, the poster presentation, is an organizational form in which authors can directly exchange with interested participants, enriching experiences on the work set out in panels, which are identified by codes matching those indicated for work in the corresponding symposium and will be exposed in a enabled area for that purpose by the sessions specified in the program for each symposium or forum. At the end of each session the authors of each poster will receive their certificate of speakers.

Symposiums and forums maintain a functional unit throughout the development of Congress and at its last session they will close with conclusions which, based on the criteria set by the authors of works and delegates participating in all sessions, will reach general assessments on existing trends and the proposed actions for the solution of the main educational problems presented in relation to the topics discussed, and suggestions for the development of the next congress. These conclusions form part of the Scientific Report of the event and serve as the basis for the Final Declaration of the Congress.

The scientific program also includes specialized visits to educational centers and to scientific and cultural institutions of Havana, as well as associated exhibition of Grand Foyer in the Palace of Conventions.

All activities of the Congress will be held according to the schedule established in the scientific program. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make necessary modifications to any eventuality.

The Scientific Committee will appreciate the authors of works to follow the time standards established for each activity of the program and suggests brevity and synthesis in the exposition of the main results achieved in the procedures involved and to contribute with their points of views and experiences to the successful development of the scientific debate.
